”The Concubine is the oldest of all his works. After the Concubine, we have the Great Pond, the Slavery, the Calabar Woman, the Pepper Soup, and others. So we decided that since the Concubine is the first book, we need to celebrate it we need, we need to honour it, we need to take a reminisce of the book, knowing more about the book. So many of us read it 10 years ago, 20 years ago. So, as a way of encouraging a reading society, we don’t need to throw away old books, we need to bring them back. We need to read them” he said.
