Nigeria representatives at the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup will know their foes today as draws for the preliminary rounds of holds in Cairo.
Akwa United and Rivers United will represent Nigeria at the CAF Champions League will Enyimba fc and Bayelsa United will feature at the CAF Confederation Cup
The race to succeed Al Ahly winners of the CAF Champions League, and Raja Athletic Club winners of the CAF Confederation Cup will begin 10 September 2021 with the first round of preliminaries.
The group stages will begin in February 2022.
The 12 best-placed national associations in the CAF ranking are authorized to enter two clubs in the different competitions.
These are South Africa, Algeria, Angola, DR Congo, Egypt, Guinea, Morocco, Nigeria, Sudan, Tanzania, Tunisia, and Zambia.
CAF has extended the five substitutions per rule for the 2021/22 Interclubs season. Accordingly, each club will be allowed to register 40 players instead of the regulatory 30.
Nine substitutes will be allowed on the bench instead of the regular seven.
The registration of players on the CAF CMS has been extended to 15 August 2021.
