Ogborodi appointed as NECO acting registrar

Following the death of the Register, Professor Godswill Obioma, the Governing Board of the National Examinations Council (NECO) has approved the appointment of Mr Ebikibina John Ogborodi as the new acting Registrar.

His appointment was contained in a circular issued by the Director, Human Resource Management, Mr Mustapha Abdul in Minna on Thursday, preceding an emergency meeting held by the governing board on Tuesday in respect to the passing on of the registrar after a brief illness.

The Circular stated that Ogborodi’s appointment was as a result of his being the most Senior Director in the Council while explaining that all activities as stipulated by the Council will carry on as planned.

Ogborodi, who hails from Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State obtained his first degree from the University of Jos in 1986 and a Masters Degree from the same institution in 1999.

Until his appointment, was the Director, Special Duties in the Council.
