Nigerian Comedienne, Ada Jesus is dead

Nigerian Comedienne, Mmesoma Mercy Obi popularly known as Ada Jesus is dead.

The news was confirmed by Mr Harrison Gwamnishu, who had chaired a group that took Ada Jesus to the hospital.

Prior to her death, Ada Jesus had been in a rumble with prophet Odumeje and veteran Nigerian actress, Rita Edochie.

It would be recalled that Ada Jesus had accused Prophet Odumeje and Rita Edochie of performing fake miracles.

Months after the accusation, the comedienne fell ill and was diagnosed with a kidney problem that left her paralysed.

Comments had trailed in, stating her sudden ailment was as a result of the accusation she had levied against the prophet.

Her family had taken her to the prophet’s church to seek forgiveness.

Prophet Chukwuemeka Odumeje had vowed not to forgive her stressing that nobody speaks against him and goes free. He urged her to provide evidence to back her claims.

He further accused the comedienne of ruining his image with false accusations on social media.

Ada Jesus was also not spared as Nollywood actress, Rita Edochie rained curses on her for allegedly insulting her and her family.

Edochie said she never asked Ada to bring people to Odumeje for fake miracles as she had claimed.

It was further gathered that Ada’s husband had gone to plead with her to forgive his wife, but was turned down.

In a post shared via Edochie’s Instagram page on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, the actress had cursed critics, saying:

“If the havoc Ada Jesus did to my entire family is okay/cool with you, may it happen to each and every one of you that saw the truth and decided to wang tongue on my page,”

“If I didn’t forgive Ada, you will be talking so let it befall you and your entire generation.”

Ada, who had celebrated her birthday two days ago reportedly died in an Abuja based hospital after she lost the battle to kidney failure.

Tributes have since trailed in for her all over social media.
