Five fun things sex does to your body

Florence Uwaeme

Asides from the already known pleasure and intimacy regular sex brings about, here are some other ignored but healthy benefits of having regular sex.

Sex not only feels good! It can also be good for you in surprising ways!

Did you know that sexually active people take fewer sick days?

That said, I don’t mean that now you get reckless and start having unprotected sex with every Tom, Dick, and Jane. You still need that rubber that’s for sure!

Plus don’t start eating all you can eat just because you are doing it regularly. I still try as much as possible to eat right and do a few exercises (besides the bedroom exercises).

Anyway, the benefits of sex range from slashing stress levels to lowering your risk of cancer and heart attacks.

Then there is the obvious… Sex facilitates bonding and feelings of intimacy with your partner. This kind of connectedness does more than make you feel warm and fuzzy. It actually reduces anxiety and boosts your overall health.

Here are the most interesting benefits:

  1. Helps to Boost your Immune System as I mentioned earlier.

  2. Boosts Your Libido (Yes the more you have, the more you want!).

  3. Improves Sleep. There is no sleep sweeter than that of a man or woman who just got spent in the other room. The sleep is usually deep and satisfying.

  4. Sex improves bladder control in women (Thanks to those orgasms).

  5. Sex counts as Exercise (5 calories per minute) – But don’t substitute it entirely with your regular routine. You still need your regular dose of work out routine to be entirely fit.

While all this is fun and interesting always use protection. Besides all the fun and interesting benefits, sex comes with risks. Take all precautions and enjoy it without regrets!
