Iwoloma Philimon Kingoli, the abducted Chairman of Okrika Local Government Area, has been released.
Kingol was kidnapped on Tuesday by unknown gunmen at Odili Road on his way to the campaign of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
His abductors in their early contact with the family had demanded the sum of N150 million ransom.
However, the Police in a statement by the spokesperson for the Rivers State Police Command, SP Nnamdi Omoni on Wednesday disclosed that he was rescued on Thursday in a covert operation by the operatives of the Anti Kidnapping Unit and taken to the Hospital, debriefed and released to reunite with his family.
