Man beats six months pregnant wife to death

A lady identified as Barr. Adaeze Destiny Ikpeama has reportedly lost her life to domestic violence.

Adaeze was 6 months pregnant when she was beaten to death by her husband, Mr Anthony Ikpeama.

A source told TPCN that, since the couple got married in 2014, Mr Ikpeama turned his wife to a punching bag and hits her at every slightest provocation.

It was also gathered, that relatives of the deceased pleaded repeatedly with Anthony to stop abusing his wife, to no avail.

On the faithful day of the event that took Adaeze’s life, Mr Ikpeama was said to have focused on his wife’s pregnant stomach and hit her till she lost consciousness.

She was reportedly rushed to the hospital by neighbors, with her husband following behind.

Brutalized Adaeze was admitted and placed on oxygen with her husband at her bedside.

While at her bedside, Mr Anthony Ikpeama removed his wife’s oxygen mask, which led to a cardiac arrest, causing her death.

Barr. Adaeze Ikpeama, who left behind two beautiful kids, hailed from Etche in Rivers state and was the only daughter of her parents.

Colleagues and relatives of the late Adaeze have called for justice to take its course on the death of their own.

Meanwhile, husband of the deceased, who was tracked down and arrested by the police, have reportedly been released while his dead wife lies in a morgue.
