Your scars are part of your life’s story – Kechi Okwuchi

Florence Uwaeme

Kechi Okwuchi, Nigerian-American singer and burn survivor has advised fellow burn survivors to show off their scars as they are part of their life story.

Kech became popular after she mesmerized viewers of America’s Got Talent AGT show with her sonorously enchanting voice in 2017 where she made it to the show finals.

Kechi was one of the two survivors in the Sosoliso Airlines crash of December 10 2005, and a finalist at the twelfth season of America’s Got Talent in 2017.

Kechi took to her Instagram handle to encourage fellow burn survivors to not be ashamed of their scars, rather they should be proud of it and be grateful even.

She wrote, “show off your scars, people, they are part of your life stories still on this fit yup…”

Kechi who has recently lost a significant amount of weight has been big on body positivity as she dresses to show off her curvy and perfectly trimmed body.
