Burna Boy, Wizkid win big at The Grammy Awards

Nigeria’s superstars, Ayo Balogun professionally known as Wizkid and Damini Ogulu aka Burna Boy have won awards at the just concluded 63rd Grammy awards, which held on Sunday, March 14th at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

The awards which had Alicia Keys as her host, recognizes best recordings, artists and compositions from around the globe.

Wizkid won alongside Beyonce and her daughter, BlueIvy Carter as Brown skin girl topped the nominations to win an award for the best music video.

Burna boy wasn’t left out, as he won his first Grammys after being nominated in the Best Global Music Album category of the awards.

His Twice as Tall album won the award over records by Bebel Gilberto (Agora), Anoushka Shankar (Love Letters), Antibalas (FU Chronicles), and Tinariwen (Amadjar).
