Rivers Angels FC of Port Harcourt will host Osun Babes in Matchday 6 of Nigeria Women Football league NWFL.

The match will kick-off by 4 pm Nigerian time.

The Jewel of Rivers will be hoping to maintain their unbeaten streak as they play hosts to Omoluabi Queens inside the University of Port Harcourt Sports Institute.

Meanwhile, players of Nigeria Women Football league NWFL Premiership reigning Champions, Rivers Angels have been speaking ahead of the midweek game with Osun Babes in Port Harcourt.

Captain of the side, Catherine Kenneth in a chat with Rivers Angels media said the win over Ibom Angels last week motivated the team a lot and they intend to maintain the current tempo.

“The current spirit in camp is quite lively due to the fact that we picked up a win on the road,” she began.

“We also hope to get a maximum win this Wednesday because no game is an easy one.

“Osun Babes are quite a decent side so we will be giving it our all to ensure we get the goals and points as well.

“We’ve been speaking to ourselves by reminding everyone that it will take teamwork to achieve our goals,” Kenneth added.

Also speaking ahead of Wednesday’s game is a midfielder, Deborah Abiodun who has promised to put up a better performance.

“We’re expected to play as a team in order to achieve our goal this Wednesday,” Abiodun said.

“In our last game we had lots of chances which we couldn’t convert but we’ve worked on these mistakes.

“By God’s grace, we’ll be able to score more goals against Osun Babes,” she added.

Rivers Angels are currently 2nd on the log with 11 points, one point behind leaders Bayelsa Queens who are equally home to Edo Queens.
