Port Harcourt pastor refuses to wed couple for being 5 minutes late to church

Florence Uwaeme

A popular Port Harcourt pastor, Pastor Essa Ogorry of Fulfilling Word Foundation, located at Dr. Peter Odilli road, yesterday refused to join a couple after they allegedly came five minutes after the scheduled time of service.

According to the video shared online by an eye-witness who happens to be the wedding photographer, the pastor walked out on the couple and refused to join them in holy matrimony after they kept him waiting for 5 minutes.

The photographer, identified as Lord Toxic on Twitter took to his handle and berated the pastor for playing God and turning a the couple’s supposed happy day into a sad one.

He wrote; “Annoying events at the wedding I was covering today in Port Harcourt.

The couple came 5 minutes late and pastor left the church, kept us for 1 hour and said he’ll join them in his office after returning.
Some pastors are feeling like God

In the now viral video, the bride was seen shading uncontrollable tears as the groom tried to console her amidst the confusion.

Some members of the church were seen exchanging words with the bride and groom’s relatives. Some tried restricting people from capturing the confusion on camera.

After an hour’s wait, the pastor decided to join the couple in his office. It was obvious the couple refused the offer as they later got another pastor to join them at their hotel.
