Following the outcry of a mother on social media about the maltreatment of her son, a student of Deeper Life College in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, the State Government says it has noted with great concern, the complaints by a parent over the maltreatment and would take appropriate action.
According to a statement signed by commissioner for information, Ini Ememobong, Governor Udom Emmanuel has directed the Honourable Commissioner for Education to immediately investigate the complaints and take necessary action.
He further said that the State Government is committed to the protection of children wherever they may be within its jurisdiction.
