Breaking: Unrest as Police officer kills Keke Operator over N100 bribe in Rivers (Graphic Video)

Residents of Rukpokwu in Obio-Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers have blocked-off major roads in the area over the killing of a Keke Operator by a police officer early on Thursday.

Eyewitnesses told theportcitynews that a member of the police team from the Rumuokoro police station shot the Keke Operator because of his refusal to part with N100 bribe.

The police team subsequently took to their heels upon learning that the Keke Operator popularly known as School Boy has died.

Residents blocked off the Rukpokwu junction and set bonfires, causing screeching traffic.

Keke Operators in the area said they took the remains of the deceased to the police station but encountered heavy shootings from the officers.

They added that the police shot two other persons on the leg who were subsequently evacuated to the hospital.

It was gathered that the Keke Operators dumped the body of deceased in front of the police station.
