Defiant youths have hit the streets of Port Harcourt to protest the brutalities meted out on them by the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, despite a ban on protests by Governor Wike.
Wike, who lacks the constitutional powers to ban protests, nevertheless, said in a statement by his commissioner for information, Paulinus Nsirim, on Monday night that protests in the state are prohibited.
But youths in the state defied his directives and filed out on the streets on Tuesday.
