It is the fifth week in the Big Brother Naija lockdown edition and as usual, Housemates had to compete in a game of chance to determine whom the goddess of luck would shine on for this week. The goddess of luck has chosen to shine its luck on Kidwaya – who was the deputy head of house the previous week as her benefactor.
According to the rules in Biggie’s house, the head of house for the previous week can neither participate during the challenge nor be nominated as head of house.
This rule kind of made it impossible for Kidwaya to reciprocate his love interests kind gesture by naming her his deputy head of house. But as we all know, Biggie and his ability to make unexpected twists in his house, he has however introduced the possibility of the head of house and his deputy’s ability to have guests in their Head of House apartment.
Well, as was expected, the head of house chose his love interest, Erica and his deputy’s love interest, Prince as their guests. This isn’t such a surprise to viewers as they already knew that is how it would go down. Had it not been for the restriction on Erica, viewers could have sworn that Kidwaya would choose Erica as his deputy without blinking.
On Sunday, Kaisha, one of the Housemates was evicted and her fans weren’t happy about it to say the least. They have gone as far as creating a hashtag “justiceforKaisha” in what they perceived to be an unfair style of voting. They argued that despite Kaisha being the one with the highest votes amongst the four Housemates, she was still evicted.
During the first week of the Lockdown show, the shows host, Ebuka, introduced what he called the voting twist to the show. This twist makes it possible for Housemates to vote out fellow housemates who happens to be amongst the four Housemates with the lowest votes for the week.
This style has made viewers question the relevance of their votes. They lamented that this style of eviction leaves Housemates at the mercy of their fellow Housemates. Some viewers have gone as far as threatening to boycott the show of this particular eviction process isn’t scrapped.
Well, it is Biggie’s house and he’s got the right to make the rules. What do you think?
