Truckers of Indorama have decided to dislodge drug consumers and dealers at their trailer park located in Eleme Local Government Area of Rivers State.

The truckers under the aegis of the Petrochemical and Fertilizer Transporters Association, Indorama Chapter, Rivers State came up with this on Monday while marking the one year anniversary of Alhaji Mustapha Danladi-led chairmanship.

According to the chairman: “We will not accept people coming here to take Indian hemp and other illicit drugs.

“We will soon stop those without ID card from entering this park.”

Danladi also warned members who are bent on diverting routes during delivery to desist forthwith adding that security checks have been put in place to deal with anyone found culpable.

On his part, the Chairman of the Project Advisory Committee of the Union, Mr Nwosu Ngorfa stressed the need to chase drug dealers from the park warning those without genuine business not to enter the park.

He also urged members that have collected their ID card to protect it and report to the union’s executive where such ID card was misplaced for possible replacement.

Our correspondent reports that the anniversary also witnessed the presentation of awards to Danladi for his outstanding leadership.
