Akeredolu wins Ondo APC guber primary

Ondo State Gov. Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN) on Monday emerged the winner of All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary.

He is to fly the party’s flag in the October 10 governorship poll.

Kogi Governor Yahaya Bello and Chairman of the Primary Election Committee announced the results in Akure at the end of the exercise which lasted for several hours.

Akeredolu trounced seven other aspirants who participated in the in-house election including Chief Olusola Oke; 2016 PDP governorship candidate, Sola Iji, Isaacs Kekemeke, Olaide Adelami, and Mrs Jumoke Anifowose, daughter of the first executive governor of Ondo State, the late Chief Adekunle Ajasin.

Others are new entrants Nathaniel Adojutelegan and Bukola Adetula.
