The Traditional Ruler of Upata Kingdom, Ahoada-East Local Government Area of Rivers State, Eze Felix Enene Otuwarikpo has escaped an assassination attempt.
Monday Oyaghiri, the palace spokesman told theportcitynews that the incident occurred on Wednesday along Igho-Edeoha road while the King was driving to his office.
Oyaghiri said the suspect, who is an indigene of the Edeoha in the Kingdom was arrested by the security details of the king.
He added that a pistol and live bullets were recovered from the suspect who was later handed over to the Ahoada Police Station.
