Abiola Ajimobi, former Oyo State governor dies at 70

The immediate past Governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi is dead.

Ajimobi, who had been on a life support machine at First Cardiology Hospital in Ikoyi, Lagos, after slipping into a coma following Coronavirus complications, died on Thursday.

The former Chief Executive Officer, National Oil and Chemical Marketing Company, a subsidiary of Shell Nigeria, died due to underlined health conditions, which was worsened by COVID-19.

The death of the former governor of Oyo State was disclosed by an undisclosed source.

Publisher, Ovation Magazine, Dele Momodu, also took to his Twitter handle to mourn with the family of the deceased.
