Troubles for Obaseki in PDP as court orders accelerated hearing of motion

A Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt on Monday granted substituted service of process on the Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, others in motion exparte filed by Ogbeide-Ihama.

Ihama, a gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, is seeking an introductory injection to stop Obseki from taking part in the party’s primary.

Obaseki defected to the PDP from the All Progressives Congress, APC, last week over disagreements with the suspended national chairman of the party, Adams Oshiomhole.

The court further ordered accelerated hearing of the motion on notice for the interlocutory injunction seeking to restrain Obaseki from taking part in PDP primary and adjourned to 24th June 2020 for motion on notice hearing.
