Buhari to bandits: Surrender or be killed

As bandits continue to wreak havoc in the North, President Muhammadu Buhari has asked to surrender or face “disgraceful and violent end’’.

Garba Shehu, the presidential spokesman, in a statement, said Buhari gave the warning at a meeting with Aminu Masari, governor of Katsina.

The president also commiserated with Masari over the loss of lives in the attacks.

Some of the people who lost their lives to recent attacks include Abu Atiku, district head of Yantumaki in Danmusa local government area of Katsina state, and Abdulhamid Sani, chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Batsari local government area.

According to the president, the bandits, who have committed crimes against innocent citizens in the state and across the country will not go unpunished.

He said more decisive military operations against them in Zamfara, Sokoto, Niger, Katsina and Kaduna states.
