Rivers records 4 new covid-19 deaths as infections rise to 89

The number of deaths recorded due to COVID-19 in Rivers has risen from 3 to 7.

This comes as the state recorded 9 new cases, making a total of 89 cases so far.

59 cases are active while 23 have been discharged.

The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control said 245 new cases were recorded on Friday.

Lagos led the tally with 131 cases while Jigawa took the second position with 16 cases.
