NCDC team visits Cross River

A team of the Presidential Task Force on Covid-19 on Monday arrived Cross River State on a fact-finding mission.

The team led by Omobolanle Olowu arrived the Margaret Ekpo Airport in Calabar and were received by the State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Beta Edu who is also the Chairman of the State Task Force on Covid-19.

Olowu described their visit as “Scoping Mission in Cross River”.

They visited the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital, UCTH and the Treatment Centre in the State.

The team also visited the Obong of Calabar and the Governor of the State, Professor Ben Ayade after interaction with members of State Task Force on Covid-19.

Cross River State has not recorded any positive case of Covid-19 since the index case was reported in the country on February 27, 2020.
