Appeal Court dismisses Alaibe’s suit against Diri

An Appeal Court sitting in Owerri, Imo State, has dismissed the appeal filed by Timi Alaibe and affirmed Duoye Diri as governor of Bayelsa State.

Alaibe is challenging the outcome of the Peoples Democratic Primaries in court for what he described as a ‘flawed process’.

The court dismissed Alaibe’s suit for lacking in merit and upheld an earlier judgment of a federal high court.
