The Rivers State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has commended Governor Nyesom Wike for measures his administration has taken so far to ensure stop the spread of coronavirus in the state.
The party in a statement by its past publicity Secretary, Chris Finebone, also hailed President Muhammadu Buhari for the relentless efforts of the Federal Government to contain the spread of the pandemic.
The party said Wike had done well in his preventive measures to keel the state free from the deadly virus.
The APC also said the state government deserved the support of all stakeholders adding that there was no place of partisan politics in the fight against the pandemic.
“At this point in time, we all must lend our voices and support the efforts by the Federal Government and the Rivers State government to stem and defeat Coronavirus in Nigeria and in our dear state.”
“At a perilous time that threatens our common humanity, partisan politics has no place. We must join hands with all and sundry to defeat this common enemy of mankind.”
