The 6 Division Headquarter of Nigerian Army Port Harcourt says it’s affiliated Formations and Units will conduct Annual Range Classification 2020 at the Nigerian Army Shooting Range, Igwuruta, Ikwerre Local Government in Rivers State from 23rd – 28th March 2020 between 6.00 am to 5.30 pm daily.
The exercise which will involve the live firing of small arms is to ascertain troops professional dexterity and ingenuity in the use of firearms and marksmanship, with the primary goal of improving individuals shooting skills.

In a statement made available to newsmen and signed by the Acting Deputy Director Army Public Relations of 6 Division, Major CHARLES EKEOCHA said the exercise is in line with the Nigerian Army’s Training Directive and Forecast of Events for the year 2020.
He called on the general, public particularly residents, commuters and farmers within the Igwururta Army Range, not to panic on seeing the movement of troops around the area and hearing the sound of small arms fire but go about their normal activities.
