Governor Nyesom Wike has appointed Prof. Nlerum Sunday Okogbule as the Vice-Chancellor, Rivers State University (RSU).
The professor of law replaces Professor Opuenebo B. Owei who was appointed acting VC following the removal of Professor Blessing Didia.
According to a statement signed by the Registrar of the institution, Dr. Sydney C. Enyindah, his appointment as substantive vice-chancellor was announced during the 13th Governing council’s emergency meeting held on the 5th of March, 2020.

Until his appointment, Prof. S.N Okogbule is the Dean of ost Graduate School.
