‘I never led SARS officers to any hotel’ – David West

The suspect serial killer, Gracious David West, on Friday denied all evidence against him, as the trial into his alleged murder and attempted murder continued at a Rivers State High Court sitting in Port Harcourt.

West while being cross-examined denied the killing of eight ladies in some hotels in Port Harcourt and the attempted murder of Benita Etim.

He said he knew nothing about their death.

West maintained that he never led operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, any of the acclaimed hotel rooms were the ladies in question were murdered.

He claimed that he cannot remember the name of any hotel as he never lodged in any to commit murder, adding that he did not also take away keys belonging to hotel rooms.

West told the court that the Police did not conduct an autopsy report on any of the ladies to prove he actually committed the crime, stressing that the Police did not also show him any item recovered from the hotel rooms.

After denying the signature on his statement evidence before the court, the court gave him a clean sheet of paper to append his signature, which was tendered as exhibit in court.

Our correspondent, Tina Amanda, said the presiding Judge, Justice Adolphus Enebeli adjourned to 23rd, 27th March, 2nd and 3rd April for the continuation of trial.
