Court adjourns hearing in suit seeking to stop Rivers APC congresses

A High Court of Rivers State sitting Port Harcourt has adjourned a suit seeking to stop the congresses of the All Progressives Congress in the state to March 30.

The suit was filed before the court by a chieftain of the party in the state, Igo Aguma.

The court adjourned the case to 30th March 2020, for hearing after counsel to APC and its national chairman, Tuduru Eden, SAN, pleaded for more time to enable him to regularize his processes.

Echezolem Etiaba, SAN, Counsel to the claimant, did not object to the motion

Justice George Omereji granted the motion by APC led counsel before adjourning to 30th of March for hearing.

Echezolem Etiaba told newsmen outside the courtroom that the case was transferred to another judge based on the application by the defendants in the matter.

He said counsel to defendants, Tuduru Eden SAN moved a motion for extension of time which he did not object and it was granted to them, so the court has adjourned till 30th to hear the matter.
