Green vs Acheru: Court commences hearing Feb 17

The Rivers State High Court will commence hearing in the matter instituted by Christopher Green sportscaster, China Acheru on February 17.

Green, a Special Adviser to the Rivers State Governor on Real Madrid Academy in his suit accused China of defaming his character.

The matter which was initially slated for hearing was stalled after it was established that the defendant, China did not acknowledge the hearing notice as claimed by the bailiff.

The claimant was represented by, A. B ODILLI, while the respondent was represented by human rights lawyer O. C HIGHER-KING.

Presiding Judge, Justice C. K. DAPPA ADDO asked all parties in the matter to file their replies before the next adjourned for hearing to commence.

CHINA ACHERU had in a publication on his blog accused the Rivers state government official, CHRIS GREEN of a threat to life; a claim GREEN described as defamation.
