Breaking: Imo deputy speaker, minority leader resign

The Deputy Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly, Okey Onyekanma, has resigned.

His letter of resignation was read by the speaker of the house during plenary on Tuesday.

Onyekanma equally resigned as the Chairman, House Committee on Rules and Business.

Also, the Minority Leader of the Assembly, Ekene Nnodimele, resigned his position.

He equally announced his defection from the All Progressives Grand Alliance to the All progressives Congress.

His letter of resignation and defection was read by the speaker, Collins Chiji, at the ongoing plenary.
