A professor of philosophy of development at the University of Port Harcourt, Andrew Efemini has said the University’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ndowa S Lale, needs a psychiatric evaluation to review his mental stability.
Professor Efemini was reacting to his arraignment in absentia before a magistrate court sitting in Choba, Obio-Akpor Local Government Area for allegedly stealing slabs and three buckets of chippings to repair his official residence at the University.

Efemini in a short video posted on his Facebook page said that as a professor of equal status as the Vice-Chancellor, Lale has no right to accuse him of stealing but the University’s council.
