Breaking: Soldiers invade Bayelsa Community, burn down houses

Residents and indigenes of Bilabiri community in Ekeremor Local Government Area of Bayelsa State taken to their heels after soldiers reportedly invaded the community on Friday morning.

Mr Esau Darosha, Chairman of Bilabiri I Community in a terse message to theportcitynews said the indigenes of the community have been displaced and tension high over possible destruction of properties.

Sources told theportcitynews that the soldiers razed down houses and destroyed properties over the killing of some personnel of the military in the area two weeks ago.

Darosha called on the government to intervene and stop further destruction of the community by armed soldiers.
