The suspected serial killer, Gracious David West, has admitted to his statement made at the Special Anti Robbery Squad, SARS, office, before Justice Adolphus Enebeli of the Rivers High Court Port Harcourt.

David West admitted to the statement containing how he murdered the young ladies in hotels in Port Harcourt, following the presentation of findings by the investigation Police Officer of SARS, Sergeant Ogbomudia Emgbokuro, in court.

Sergeant Emgbokuro while being crossed examined by the Prosecution Counsel Chidi Ekeh, told the court that upon investigation, it was discovered that the suspect used the same pattern to kill his victims, by tying their legs, hands with white pieces of cloths, and threatening them with penknife in order to collect the victims’ ATM card and withdraw their money.

The Sergeant testified further that David West after killing his victims locks them inside the hotel rooms and goes away with the keys.

The Police Officer told the court that after the suspect confessed to the crimes before the Police, he took the Police investigation team to the rooms in all the hotels where he murdered the ladies without the help of any hotel management.

He, however, testified that Gracious David West has identified seven corpses out of the nineteen corpses deposited in the mortuary.

The Police Sergeant also told the court that two bodies were found inside a hotel room in Bende street, one dead and one rescued alive, adding that the hotel in question is where the second defendant NIMI THANKGOD works as a manager.

The presiding Judge, Justice Adolphus Enebeli, admitted as exhibits, documents containing the death certificates and pictures of some of the victims as presented by the prosecution counsel.

He also adjourned the matter to 17th January for the continuation of cross-examination.
