Sworn-in Rivers Commissioners get portfolios

Following the swearing-in of 13 new Commissioners by the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike on Monday, 30th. December 2019 in Port Harcourt, the portfolio of the commissioners has been released.

According to the statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Tammy Danagogo, Governor Wike is expectant that the new commissioners will be committed to deliver on the agenda of the Rivers State Government and work for the interest of Rivers State.

The different portfolios are:

1. Sir Sam Ejekwu – Transport

2. Hon Austin Ben-Chioma – Works

3.Barr. Sylvanus Nwankwo – Employment Generation & Econ. Development

1. Barr Osimah Gina – Physical Planning &Urban Development

2. Barr. Mrs. Inime Chiwenwo-Aguma – Social Welfare & Rehabilitations

3. Mrs Ifeoma Nwankpa – Commerce & Industry

4. Dr Peter Medee – Energy & Natural Resources

5. Dr Bariere Thomas – Special Duties

6. Dr Fred Kpakpol – Agriculture

7. Mr Paulinus Nsirim – Information & Communication

8. Elder Tasie Chinedu – Housing

9. Mr Rodaford Long-John – local Government Affairs

10. Prof Kaniye Ebeku – Education

According to the statement, they are to resume duties immediately.
