One Ambrose Owiriwa is presently cooling off in police custody for allegedly killing his niece.
Sources said Mr Ambrose Owiriwa, the uncle of the deceased, Olayile Owiriwa, hit her on the face with a local cooking stand on Saturday over a minor misunderstanding between them.
Olayile Owiriwa from Oroworokwu, reportedly went to her mother’s family home for the Christmas holidays period when she was attacked by her uncle.
The deceased who is few months pregnant died from internal bleeding at an undisclosed hospital in Port Harcourt.
A Family source told theportcitynews that Police officers from Mile 1 police station arrested Ambrose who was also accused of biting off one of his nieces’ ear and stabbing his sister in the past after Olayile was confirmed dead.
Nnamdi Omoni, the spokesperson of the Rivers State Police Command did not respond to enquiries for comments.
