A dead newborn baby was discovered at a waste disposal site in Etche local government area of Rivers State on Friday morning.
Residents who converged at the site said the baby looked like she was strangled and dumped at the site by her mother who for reasons best known to her did not want her.
The waste disposal site where the dead baby was dumped is located at Encarnette Road by Location Road Umuebullu 2 Etche.
A large crowd gathered at the sight of the unfortunate incident.
The incident was later reported to the police command in the area who came and evacuated the corpse from the dumpsite.
