Bayelsa: APC leads with a wide margin in 4 out of 6 LGAs

Mr David Lyon, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has taken an early lead in the Saturday’s governorship election in Bayelsa State.

According to results collated so far from six out of the 8 LGAs at the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Yenagoa, the APC candidate won four LGAs while the PDP candidate won in two LGAs.

The total number of votes garnered by Lyon in the six LGAs collated so far is 206,260, leading Diri who polled 119,930.

This is a difference of over 86,000 votes.

Brass, Kolokuma/Opokuma, Nembe, Ogbia, Sagbama, and Yenagoa are some of the LGAs collated so far.

The other two LGAs whose results are yet to be collated Ekeremor and Southern Ijaw.
