Bayelsa Poll: Hoodlums snatch voting materials in Nembe

As residents filed out to cast their votes so as to elect a new governor for Bayelsa State, hoodlums have hijacked electoral materials belonging to Ward 8 in Nembe local government area.

The incident which occurred around 9:30 AM left voters stranded with officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, making frantic efforts to calm the situation.

In other areas visited by our correspondent, voting is ongoing peacefully.

In Kolga, there was a low turnout of voters over the flooding situation in the area.
