U.S Department of State issues level 4 travel advisory for Rivers, Borno, Kaduna

The U.S. Department of State has expanded its Travel Advisory for Nigeria in areas relating to substantial civil unrest.

The Travel Advisory which was published on October 29, 2019, includes a Level 4: ‘Do Not Travel’ warning for the following areas in Nigeria to coastal areas of Niger Delta.

Among the Niger Delta States named in the travel advisory include Coastal areas of Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross Rivers, Delta, and Rivers states, with the exception of Port Harcourt

Other states in the advisory are Borno, Yobe, Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Kaduna, and Kano states
