The Nation of Leader of the Conscience of the Ogoni People, COOP, Gani Togba, has made an initial donation of one (1) million naira as a revolving loan scheme for women of Kono Boue community, Khana Local Government Area of Rivers State.
Chief Topba was honoured by the Chiefs, elders, women and the leadership of the community at the Eete Yaanwaa town Square, as he led displaced people of the community back home, after months of staying in IDP camps as a result of the cult-related crisis.

For over 7 months, cult-related crises ravaged the community and other parts of Ogoniland, displacing thousands of people, especially from Kono Boue who were forced to take refuge in an IDP camp at the Methodist church compound in Bori.
According to Chief Topba, the gesture is to assist women and people of the community who lost their livelihood as a result of the unfortunate cult-related crises to begin a new life and rebuild their economic lives.
The community residents who received the COOP leader expressed appreciation for the gesture.
They also thanked Topba for his sacrifices and contribution to the return of peace in Ogoniland and for all his good gestures by conferring on him, a Chieftaincy title of “MENE YEREBA” of the community.
