Rivers State Football Coaches to host Delta State counterparts on Nov 19

Rivers State Football Coaches Association will face their counterparts from Delta State in a friendly match on November 19 in Port Harcourt.

The match will take place at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium.

The match is part of activities marking the end of year event for coaches in Rivers State.

Secretary, Rivers State Football Coaches Association, Raphael Akunna, said the event is organized to foster unity and friendship among coaches of the two states as well, as pursuing one of the pilot projects of the National body.

“This is a pilot project and we are very happy it is beginning with us in Rivers State. We are also happy with the cooperation we are getting from our colleagues at Delta State. We are hopeful this friendly matches will foster unity and further strengthen the bond of friendship already among us.

“Fans in Port Harcourt are assured of a beautiful display of football artistry on Tuesday, 19th November 2019 as Coach Raphael Akunna rolled out the names of coaches expected to feature for both sides in the tie.

“I can confirm Delta State participation for the one-day event. Their contingent to Port Harcourt will include Edema Fuludu, Paul Obire, Godwin Etemike, Ebiyon Didiare, Humphrey Jebba among others established names”.

Secretary of the planning committee, Coach Anthony Chukwu has promised to put up a memorable event as all will have a taste of the good hospitality of the government and people of Rivers State.

“Be rest assured, we are going to put up a top-class event. Port Harcourt is the place to be. You will have a taste of the food, music and hospitality of Rivers State” he said.

Other notable coaches expected to participate in the event includes Stanley Eguma, Imama Amakpakabo, Edwin Okon, Rita Nwadike, Kelechi Nwogu among others.
