Rivers United technical adviser and long-serving premier league Coach, Stanley Eguma has rated the Nigeria Professional Football League as the best league in Africa.
Stanley Eguma said this at the on-going Ahlan Cup in Kano.
The coach while commending the organizers of the Ahlan Cup in Kano said the Nigeria Professional Football League is ahead of other leagues in Africa.
Eguma Stanley, a seasonal Football Coach, applauded Nigeria Football Administrators for setting up top-class standards for the efficient running of the league system.
He said Nigeria Players can challenge or compete with any footballers across the globe with the quality of players being produced by the Nigeria League.
“I salute the hardworking Nigeria Football Federation NFF, League Management Company LMC, Nigeria Referees Associations of Nigeria NRA and others for job Well-done by setting up a world-class standard”.
“Am also appealing to them to keep the good work by fast-tracking Nigeria league resumption date in order to keep our players back to shape after engaging in different pre-season tournament across the States”, Eguma said.
The Rivers United handler also heaped praises on the organizers of Ahlan cup pre-season tournament, claiming it is one of the best pre-season tournament in the country, well structured and very competitive, just like the league system.
He stated that it will be of good if teams can transform the fitness and readiness from the tournament to the league when it eventually kicks off and noted that the league will also help in terms of money values and also create job opportunities.
Eguma also thank the Rivers State government for the huge support given to Rivers United over the years.
