UNILAG suspends lecturer caught in Sex-for-marks scandal after BBC exposé

Mr Boniface Igbeneghu, a lecturer with the University of Lagos has been suspended by the institution for his involvement in a sex-for-marks scandal.

Igbeneghu was exposed in an undercover video by BBC Africa Eye where an undercover journalist, Kiki Mordi, disguised as a 17-year-old admission seeker.

Theportcitynews gathered that the Vice-chancellor of University of Lagos , Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, confirmed the suspension on Monday.

The Vice-chancellor said the lecturer has been suspended indefinitely.

He added that a panel will be set up to investigate the issue.
