Here are alternative places that you can hold your wedding reception without emptying your life savings.
1. At a restaurant
Restaurants can save the day. All you need to do here is invite close family members from both sides, get them to sit together at the restaurant, place orders, eat and take pictures. Nobody will beat you for not inviting them to your wedding. Here, you are able to get space without payment. Sounds great, isn’t it?
2. Your backyard or compound
You don’t have to own the compound before doing this. All you need to do here is to tell your neighbours about your intentions. Be courteous enough to get the information across to them on time so as to not be seen as a nuisance. You can serve whatever food or drink of your choice. If it is your backyard you intend using, ensure that there is enough space for the number of people you’re inviting. You can play soft music from your personal sound system. You don’t have to pay for any disc jockey.
3. At the beach
Beaches are beautiful sights to behold. Having both the wedding and the reception here won’t be a bad idea at all. All you need here is sunny weather. There are always local musicians at the beach and they will be glad to entertain you for a little few.
