Gberegbe’s murder: Court adjourns to October 8

A high court sitting in Portharcourt has adjourned for motion in the murder of late Ferry Gberegbere who was murdered during the 2019 governorship election in Rivers state.

Lezina Amegwa, Counsel to the applicant, Ronke Gberegbere, had filed a motion in court asking for the Nigerian Police and Police Service Commission to be joined as parties in the suit.

Respondents in the matter filed a counter-affidavit on the 25th September in opposition to the application, while the applicant counsel prayed the court to allow them to reply to the respondents on the point of law.

The presiding Judge, Justice Adolphus Enebeli, adjourned to 8th October for all applications to be taken.

Speaking on the matter, Lezina Amegwa, said they are waiting to respond formerly to the said counter application in opposition to their application.
