Just In: Women protest killings in Port Harcourt

About 72 Coalition groups comprising of diverse women organizations; Women Journalists; female lawyers; women doctors in Rivers State has embarked on a peaceful protest in demand of action against the recent killing of women in Rivers State.

The diverse women group who started their protest today from the state secretariat of Nigeria Union of Journalist, also observed a one minute silence for the women/ girls that were strangled and murdered recently in Port Harcourt and its environs, while praying against the killers.

The group of women took their protest to the state government house, DSS office, state house of assembly.

Few heads of the women group that protested condemned the act of strangling and killing of these female victims.

They said every human, including women, has the right to life and every human must respect that.
