The star witness of the 2nd Respondent, Honourable Ipalibo George candidate of Social Democratic Party SDP, for State House Assembly Asari-Toru Constituency 1 has tendered 56 results sheets as evidence before the National and State House Election Petition Tribunal in Port Harcourt.

The Star witness, Mrs Maggie Batubo, who is the Social Democratic Party National Women Leader, testified to have worked as the party Local government Collation Agent for Asari-Toru Constituency 1, during the March 9th election.

She told the court that the 56 results sheets emanated from polling unit of 6 wards, which was used to declare the SDP candidate Ipalibo George winner against the PDP Candidate Wellington Tekenari Grandville.

The three-man tribunal led by Justice GK Kaigama, after listening to arguments from counsels in the matter, adopted the results sheets as an exhibit and adjourned to 6th of September for the continuation of hearing of Defence witnesses.

Counsel to the PDP, Dike Udenna, said the documents tendered in court by the SDP women leader are not the certified true copy result sheets of the March 9th State House Assembly Election.

On his part, Counsel to SDP SOMINA ELEKIMA, said they are consciously managing their time to present all their witnesses and evidence that show SDP candidate Ipalibo George won in the election.
