NDYV hails Okumagba over appointment as NDDC MD

The Niger Delta Youth Vanguard (NDYV) has congratulated Mr Olorogun Bernard Okumagba over his appointment as the Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission by President Muhammadu Buhari.

The group said in a statement by its national coordinator, Sunday Yamaabana said it received the news with a lot of jubilation because the people have been calling for the appointment of a technocrat to manage NDDC and God has answered our prayer.

“NDYV also thank President Muhammadu Buhari for listening to the yearnings of the people of Niger Delta and doing the needful by appointing an outstanding technocrat and professional as the Managing Director of the NDDC.

“In the same vein, we also extend our heartfelt felicitations, through you, to the other distinguished and equally deserving members of your team; Joi Nunieh, Maxwell Okoh, Jones Erue, Victor Ekhatar, Nwogu Nwogu, Theodore Allison, Victor Antai, Maurice Efiwatt, Olugbenga Elema, Uchegbu Kyrian, and Aisha Muhammed, Ardo Zubairu and Badmus Mutalib.

“Your wealth of experience and that of your distinguished members would be of tremendous value to the people of Niger Delta at this material time.

“By your well-considered appointments, Mr President has further shown, by word and deed, that he is staunchly committed to comprehensively repositioning the Niger Delta Region for service-delivery, and taking her to the next level.

“Managing Director, sir, with your rich, composite and cosmopolitan experience as a bureaucrat, technocrat, chartered Accountant, grassroots mobilizer, entrepreneur, consultant, and sterling track records in both private and public sector, we do not doubt that your tenure holds great prospects for the Niger Delta Region.
