Ride-hailing start-up, Bolt launches in Port Harcourt.

……..And they are hiring drivers

Ride-hailing company, Bolt which was formerly known as Taxify has launched its services Port Harcourt.

The Port Harcourt extension makes the ride-hailing services visible in a total of eight cities in the country including Lagos, Abuja, Ibadan, Owerri, Benin City, Uyo, and Calabar.

Uche Okafor, Bolt’s Regional Manager for West Africa, stated that the reason for the expansion was to enable Bolt users in the garden city to access its services and to also provide employment opportunities for drivers and vehicle owners in the city.

The company is calling on drivers in the oil city interested in joining the platform to come on board with a valid Nigerian driver’s license and an Android or iOS smartphone with GPS.

Those interested will also undergo an onboarding/training programme after providing the items stated.

The car must, however, be a four-door wheel like Toyota Corolla, Hyundai Accent, Kia Rio, and so on.
